At the home page of this site you will see their list of the Core Values of Objectivism and you may notice that they don’t exactly match the Controlling Values found at ARC or in Ayn Rand’s non-fiction. The reason is that TAS defines Core Values by using one attribute from the Metaphysics and Epistemology branches – Reason and one derivative attribute Achievement (Purpose) along with two attributes from the “Politics and Economics” branch of philosophy – individualism and freedom as Core Values. ARC’s Controlling Values are Reason, Purpose and Self-Esteem.
