    • Biathlon-when you ski to a target then you shoot five times with a gun then you ski to the finish line.
    • Ski Jumping-conpetitors ski down a giant hill and jump doing different moves and flips in the air then you land when you are near the bottom of the hill
    • Nordic Combined- is a combination of cross country skiing and ski jump
    • Free Style-is like ski jump
    • Alpine- is where a person skies down a hill swaying around poles
    • Cross Country –where athletes ski across flat land from the starting line to the finish line

    • Bobsled-is when athletes sit in a giant sled and go down an icy winding track
    • Luge-also takes place on ice where a person pushes off from a block and goes down on a thin sled on their stomach facing feet first
    • Skeleton-is very similar to luge except that you go down the icy tube head first

    • - both are played with a stick an puck on teams, they compete on ice and work together to score goals or point on the goalie

    • Speed Skating- is where you race around a track
    • Short Track-is very similar except it is on a smaller track
    • Figure Skating- is where you either work in pairs or singles and you do different jumps and lifts on the ice while music is playing

    • Curling is where you

    • person slides the rock
    • down the ice and tries
    • to get it in the circle
    • which is called a house.
    Snow Boarding There are many different things you can do when snow boarding. The main thing in snow boarding is that you have one long board an it is curved at each end then you put on these special boots on and they clip you to the board.
