What is it? <ul><li>Alcohol is a natural substance made from fermented grains and fruits or vegetables. </li></ul><ul><li>Fermentation is the process of yeast or bacteria changing sugars into alcohol. </li></ul><ul><li>Different forms of alcohol can be used as cleaners, antiseptics, or sedatives. </li></ul>

  7. 7. How to avoid drinking as a teen <ul><li>Don’t hang out with kids that drink </li></ul><ul><li>Give excuses or reasons </li></ul><ul><li>Have a back up plan if you are going to a party that will have alcohol </li></ul><ul><li>Go to places where you will not be exposed to alcohol </li></ul>

How to get help with a drinking problem. <ul><li>Get help as soon as possible </li></ul><ul><li>Tell a responsible person you trust </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Parents </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Doctor </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Close family </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>School counselor </li></ul></ul><ul><li>If the first person you tell doesn't help tell someone else until you receive the help you need. </li></ul>
