  2. 2. Siebel Workflow • Business Automation Framework for Siebel Enterprise Applications
  3. 3. Recipe • Using Siebel Workflow and Siebel Business Services to insert CRM On Demand data
  4. 4. Preparation • Make sure you have a working Siebel Tools and Sample database, take a backup before you begin • Make sure you have a working login and password for CRM On Demand, and Web Services are enabled • Download the WSDL for Account Object
  5. 5. Part One • Download and save the WSDL files from your CRM On Demand instance from the Web Service Administration links – Choose one Object, for example Account
  6. 6. Part Two • Create a new Workflow in Siebel Tools and assign it to a Locked Project • Set the Business Object to Account or another object
  7. 7. Part Three • Build the Workflow – Add Start and End Steps – Use Recipe 4 to create Login step and store the SessionId from CRM On Demand – Use Recipe 5 to provide the framework – Edit the Account QueryPage Step
  8. 8. Part Four • Edit Account QueryPage Step – Edit SOAP XML to • reference Account_Insert • provide AccountName and Location required field • Include ListOfContactRole and structure from WSDL file • Include valid Contact Id from your CRM On Demand instance
  9. 9. Part Five • Rename Account QueryPage step to Insert Account + Contact Role – Edit SOAP Action to reference AccountInsert
  10. 10. Part Five • Simulate your Workflow • Retrieve the output.xml file from your hard drive and observe the data output (the exact records will depend on your CRM On Demand instance of course!
  11. 11. Conclusion • We created new Steps in a Workflow to call CRM On Demand Web Services – Login – Insert Account “Name”, “Location”, ContactRole “Approver”, “AAA-232” – Logoff
