It's about talking, questioning, listening, planning and succeeding. A coach is not a therapist. A coach is not there to provide you with the answers. A life or business coach will listen to you and ask you the right questions so that you can unlock the answers. Take a few minutes to look around the site. I'll be posting up articles and reports over the coming weeks.
Good coaches don't give advice. The reason is simple. If I tell you to do X and it does not work out for you, then you have some one to blame. You can tell others it was the coaches fault he/she told me to do this. That is not taking responsibility for your life.
When you come to coaching, we make an agreement. I'll help you if you help yourself. The first thing you have to do is take responsibility for your actions and stop playing the blame game. Every action you take has a consequence - you have to realise that and then consider everything you do and its consequence
As a coach I believe that you hold all the answers, therefore I will ask you questions that will make you think deeply and probe the inner recesses of your mind for answers. I will use specific strategies to ensure you get the best results.
I'll show you techniques from coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming to ensure that you can deal with any situation that arises.
It's simply talking and listening and questioning and planning. Your past is your past, I am interested in the here and now and where we can go in the future. You can learn from your past, but dwelling on it will achieve nothing at all. You have to let go of the past.
We will jointly figure out what it is you want from life and how realistic your goals are. For example if you come to me and are not fit and say I want to run the marathon in 3 months time, we will have to take a reality check and decide whether this is possible. That does not mean I don't believe in you or your abilities, but reality is always the most important guide.
I always like to meet people to have a quick chat before we start coaching, just to make sure I'm right for you and you're the right client for me. The main reason for this is to make sure that you feel comfortable working with me and vice versa. Therefore this first short session is a free intro for about 15 minutes - call now to reserve 083 313 4126.
Excellent question and the answer is 99% of them are not! Seriously, some people see it as a bad thing to go to a coach, as there must be something wrong with you. In fact that's not true. The majority of successful people be they sports stars or high profile business people all have coaches or mentors that help them achieve greatness. So you see by going to a coach you are proving to yourself that you know you can achieve greatness and that you want to succeed in life.
What's the difference between a life coach and a business coach?
Technically one looks after your personal and life issues and the other looks after business issues. To me both are intertwined to a great extent. What happens in your personal life can affect your business life and vice versa.
However some people will want help just with their business and that's what I will do - remember you set the agenda as to what we work on. I've had many successes with helping people start and grow their businesses.
