    1. RhondaK Native Florida Folk Artist Weird Scenes From the Tequila Mine
    2. December Setup at Ybor City
      • In December I set up something like 6 places to sell. It was a lot of work that suffered some degree of cruelty.
      • Selling art even something as fun as funny bar signs is not for the weak of heart.
      • Here I am set up at Billy Bob’s Beach Bar in Seffner, Florida.
      • This is not a place for the weak. I like it! Great food, tin roof, HUGE attitude.
      • When selling to the public you’ll often hear I CAN DO THAT. Or a person will say I WILL GO HOME AND PAINT THAT FOR YOU. On days like this you can honestly say, SWEETY, YOU CANNOT DO THIS. YOU WOULD CRY. Or just smile sweetly as who else can wrestle a CJ5 to Billy Bob’s and make it one heck of a great day.
      • Billy Bob’s has great food too.
      • http:// www.billybobsbeachbar.com
      • This is the inside of Billy Bob’s Beach Bar. They have a big pink sign of mine that reads: YOU CAN’T DRINK ALL DAY UNLESS YOU START AT SUNRISE. Over it is a preprinted sign that is pretty funny. It reads OUR ACCOUNTANT IS HELEN WAIT. IF YOU NEED CREDIT, GO TO HELEN WAIT.
      • This is a great bar to hang out at. Real people. Tin roof. The sides are open and it is full of funny bar signs.
      • I sold a lot of dog and cat signs in December. My favorite new image is roughly Sadie.
      • I painted a Morkie for a gift.
      • I also sold a lot of Yorkies. Sadie’s favorite play dates are with some Yorkies in Sarasota.
    3. How Did I end Up DOING this?
      • I began selling signs with one very similar to this one. I sold it at the Star Fish Company Restaurant in Cortez, Florida. I still sell there. I sold it because I needed money for gas to get to work. My boyfriend left me living on a boat and in some bad situations.
      • I’ve sold signs ever since.
      • For Christmas, I placed many flamingos and egrets in good homes.
      • The egret is based on Petey the Egret in Cortez, Florida. I noticed he didn’t worry about the fish he didn’t catch. I came up with LIVE WITH EGRETS NOT REGRETS.
      • So now, every where I sell, people can take away a “peace” of Petey.
      • This SHE SERPENT of a primitive mermaid travelled with me all December. She is now hanging on a fence in Cortez, Florida.
      • All in all, selling in December was interesting, tough…often futile. Sometimes brutal. Next December, I vow to do less and research at beach bars MORE.
