  • 4. Thinking Ladder… To & 2 key studies in memory in detail. To these studies to what we have already learned on memory. To each study in terms of strengths and weaknesses.
  • 5. How will I know if I am learning? By the end of the lesson… E Will be able to describe the APFC of each study in detail. C Will be able to explain the study in relation to previous learning. A Will be able to evaluate each study in detail in terms of strengths and weaknesses.
  • 6. What does the Spec say? Compulsory Study Study 2 (Selected) Godden & Baddeley (1975) AO1 AO2 Craik & Tulving (1975) AO1 AO2 What are AO1 & AO2? How can you demonstrate them in looking at key studies? You must also try and to compare and contrast them. What might this mean?
  • 7. Making Links What can you recall about these studies so far? How do they relate to what we have learned? Structural (shallow) Phonetic (middle) Semantic (deep)
  • 8. Study Deconstructions Your task is to deconstruct both studies and create a display poster for each of them.. Aim Procedure Imagine you have literally broken up the study into 4 pieces like a jigsaw. Aim, Procedure, Findings, Conclusion (APFC) I want a detailed, colourful poster, referring to the success criteria for each study. Use the template to help you! Findings Conclusion You can cut out the jigsaw pieces and piece them together on the page if you like! Be creative! Godden & Baddeley (1975) & Craik & Tulving (1975)
