In 2009, Chinese government still deems agricultural production as one key task. On one hand, it continues to keep peasants' planting enthusiasm by means like heightening crops purchasing price. On the other hand, it goes on to promote industry reconstruction related to agriculture, including pesticide industry, fertilizer industry and seed industry to pursue further development of agriculture. A series of policies and concrete regulations will be released successively this year. Correspondingly, some phenomenon have reflected the changes: increasing registration of newly off-patents pesticide varieties; producers for fungicide or biological pesticide likely to get listed; great changes in regional pesticide production structure like Jiangsu Province, etc. With China entering intense integration for agricultural industry as well as the good expectation for economic situation this year, more commercial opportunities are now available for the ambitious companies.Jiangsu Limin'one leading fungicide company, is now under pre-listing tutoring by Western Securities Co., Ltd. and plans to get listed this year.Jiangxi Tianren has applied for environmental protection inspection and verification preparing for getting listed.In 2009, conventional fungicides still accounted for most of the registered technicals and newly off-patent varieties also saw popular registration. In late Jan. 2010, Ministry of Agriculture held the National Sugar Crop Production Symposium in Guangxi to discuss measures for strengthening domestic sugar capacity.Pesticide production in Jiangsu has enjoyed great breakthrough in output and product structure adjustment, but profit margin reduced due to gloomy market in 2009. China will strengthen control of alien species through issuing related policies, which can contribute to facilitate cost reduction for alien species in the future. Yunnan crops are encountering diseases and insect pests spreading at a faster rate with stronger destructive effect than before.
