information sources, we used data of Rosstat, Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of
Russia, official domestic railage statistic of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railway Transport of Russia), sectoral (industrial) and
regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as data from web-sites of company-producers and consumers of
the products of interest.

The first Section of the report presents analysis of coke and by-product production in CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine), data on
resources, required for production of pitch, their characteristics. Besides, the Section describes in details methods and features of
obtaining pitch.

The second Section of the report is devoted to production of pitch in CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan). The Section of the
report presents statistical and estimation data on volumes of production of the products in 1994-2009 by CIS enterprises. In addition,
a part of the Section is devoted to description of current standing of the main producers of pitch in the CIS, including data on their
supplies.

The third Section of the report presents data on foreign trade in pitch in Russia (1994-2009), Ukraine (1999-2009) and Kazakhstan
(1995-2009).

The fourth Section of the report presents information on current domestic prices on pitch at Russian market, as well as analysis of
data on dynamics of export-import prices on the products in Russia (1994-2009) and in Ukraine (2001-2009).

The fifth Section of the report analyses consumption pitch in Russia. The Section presents supply-demand balance of pitch
(1994-2009), sectoral structure of their consumption, presents the main Russian consumers (including their volumes of consumption
in 2003-09), as well as describes current standing and prospects of development of the greatest enterprise-consumers (aluminium
and electrode plants).

The sixth, final Section of the report presents forecast of production pitch in Russia and Ukraine, as well as forecast of consumption of
pitch in Russia up to 2010.

The Appendices present contact information on producers and consumers of pitch a in the CIS.
