The purpose of this presentation was to introduce this group of managers from large, independent real estate brokerages to social media tools and the potential they hold for their businesses.

  • 4. A working definition: Social media is any site or application that allows users to provide and direct the content through sharing, collaboration, and interaction

  • 7. Those groups need leadership and direction
  • 8. Some Examples: • Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn (social networks) • Flickr (photos) • YouTube (video) • Blogs • Twitter (micro-blogging)
  • 9. BUT Social Media is about more than just computers and technology
  • 10. Social Media is about people and relationships.
  • 11. Social media uses technology to connect people through their shared interests
  • 12. How can I use social media as a tool to enrich my business?
