  3. 3. STRATEGIC PLAN PROGRESS REPORT Wednesday, December 29, 2010 Introduction INTRODUCTION by Bob Busch, Chairman of the Strategic BOB BUSCH Planning Committee Welcome. My name is Bob Busch. I am one of your Board members and, together with Beth Moise and Phil George, we have formed the Strategic Planning Committee. But, truthfully, the Strategic Planning Committee is the entire Board. Everyone works on this. Your Board has spent untold hours on this and, as you will see, there has been a tremendous amount of work done on your behalf. Now let’s take a look a the Agenda and I will, very quickly explain what you are going to see this afternoon (next slide)
  4. 4. AGENDA Opening Comments - Bob Busch Strategic Vision - Bob Bodman Strategic Plan Process Bob Bodman is an expert in the field of Club Strategic Planning. He is a Principal in Discovery Results the the nationally recognized firm of Club Resources and Bob has been assisting us throughout this process of working on a Board Retreat Overview Strategic Plan for Las Campanas. Strategic Vision: “Pathway to 1200” Why do we need a Consultant? Despite the fact that we have a good Board and that many of us have a lot of experience Club Operations Status Report - Jim Muldowney in many things, none of us have any experience in doing this -- Strategic Planning for Club Communities. Bob has Water Update & Plan - Phil George done this for decades, but beyond that has a wealth of knowledge about what others have done. We are not the only people who have ever gone through this process. Bob Member Q & A has brought to this a structural knowledge that many others have had to go through. The vision and all the work done here will be covered by Bob (next slide)

It is not something that is done overnight. It is broken done into chunks. Committee Staff Workshops Revised Plan, The first part (light red boxes), which Bob will Revised Plan Budgets spend the most time on, is about what the members want the club to be and how we tried to learn about that. The second part (the Progress Report Retreat and the product that came out of it) is Member Feedback a how we tried to analyze and understand all that. PATHWAY TO 1200 Where are we today? We are in the Committee and Staff Workshop phase and this Progress Report and the initial draft of the “Pathway to 1200.” This is about as far as we are going to Member Feedback get with this presentation. This is not a finished product and it is still subject to change, by us and by the members. (next slide) Las Campanas Strategic Plan (Early Spring)
