He will discuss AllJoyn™, the open source project which was initially developed by Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. and is now hosted by the AllSeen Alliance, a nonprofit consortium including some of the world’s leading, consumer electronics manufacturers, home appliances manufacturers.

This is the “Proximal Network”. Without AllJoyn, in order to communicate, each device sends information out to its own cloud. This is not efficient and has inherent risk. ! ! ! ! !! ! !
