    • What is Haptic technology?
      Haptic technology is the tactile feedback that the technology gives to give a user a sense of feeling ,something in response to an action. This can be done through the uses creating an alternate response to an action.
      The technology allows interface with the user and allow them to feel an enriched experience by stimulating their senses, it also allows people to recognize certain things from the sound or feel, like shooting a gun in a game will vibrate your controller making it feel like recoil from a real gun shot.

      Portable Devices
      Medicine and Robotics
      Art and Literature
    • Games and Simulators
      Games and simulators are most common in today's society with the high demand of gaming. Games provide triggers which create a response where the user is able to feel the burden of what is happening to the person in game e.g. Explosions
      Simulators give an entirely realistic feel, an example is a flight simulator. The flight simulator may move from left and right to make the user feel the entire response from doing that action. This allows for realistic simulations and provides real training for the trainees
    • Portable Devices
      Portable devices are used daily by most people. The portable device delivers a haptic response by creating a response from applying a force such as the apple brands or the smart phones which provide touch screen response. Other portable devices which give a haptic response is the 3DS, it has a touch screen and also provides haptic perception by making the user move to create a response from the console
    • Medicine and Robotics
      The use of Haptic technology in medicine allows professionals to create simulations to simulate the results. It also allows doctors in trainings to test out and train them into more professional doctors. There is also a technique which involves the use of robotics to rehabilitate the user
      Robotics provide a different experience from game and simulators it allows you to see the change in reality. Robotics is important in our society as manufacturers use robots to manufacture their products. Robot arms and legs are being developed or are in testing to help those who have disabilities or amputations. It is changing the world
    • Art and Literatures
      Haptic technologies help compliment art and literature it allows a more visual approach to it and allow a much greater ease of manipulating it. It allows users to edit images and provide freedom to the user to create a more enhanced view of the art
      Literature such as books can be complimented by haptic technology by giving an user an different way of learning. They can change an analogue book into digital and provide an interactive experience such as a manual experience can be simulated and implemented with haptic technology to give realistic feedback
