Boy Scouts of America Celebrates 100 Years!
This year, the Boy Scouts of America celebrates their 100th anniversary.
Founded in 1910, there have been over 110 million Boy Scouts, and currently,
the BSA has 4.5 million active members. The organization is headquartered in
Irving, Texas, and promotes “character development, responsible citizenship,
and self-reliance” through scout participation in outdoor activities, educational
programs, and volunteer opportunities.
Rawhide Ranch shares many of the same goals as the Boy Scouts of America,
believing that character development is one of the most important traits that can
be developed in children and young adults. Both Rawhide Ranch and the BSA
believe that outdoor education can help develop a strong work ethic and provide
learning opportunities to participants that they may not normally be exposed to in
a traditional classroom-education setting.
Rawhide Ranch is proud to be a place that many Boy Scout Troops choose to
visit, offering a myriad of outdoor activities that are perfect for any Boy Scout.
From horseback riding to archery, wall climbing to animal care, Rawhide Ranch
offers opportunities for growth, enrichment, development and most of all, fun that
are sure to benefit your scout and build memories that will last a lifetime.
