New furniture arrived in May and more is on the way. News for Researchers eAudio Books: Randall Library has access to many eAudio Books since NC LIVE recently began rolling out the new MyiLibrary audio books platform to all member libraries, adding 1000 downloadable eAudio Book titles for use by library patrons across the state. Visit MyiLibrary eAudio Books via NCLive for access to these eAudio books. Business Portal: NC LIVE recently introduced the new NC LIVE Business Portal and the NC LIVE Jobs Portal, two resources developed by librarians to highlight important information for students, job seekers, entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners. Find out more by visiting http://www.business.nclive.org and http:// www.jobs.nclive.org. New Books, Videos and CDs: Check out new titles at Randall Library. Preparing your syllabus? Don’t forget to put readings and films on reserve for students using Randall Library Course Reserves. Fall 2010 UNI Instructors: Please schedule your required library session. Completely Updated Library Toolbar: With the Randall Library toolbar you can have quick access to library resources and useful web pages, wherever you are on the web. Get one-click access to the library catalog, articles via EbscoHost, Worldcat, Google Scholar, UNCW website and links to frequently used Randall Library and UNCW resources. Visit the toolbar page for more information and for installation instructions. Coming Soon: Over the summer we will transition the Interlibrary Loan/ILLiad logon to be synced with your UNCW email id and password. Instead of having to remember your ILL username & password, you can sign-on with your UNCW credentials. One less account to remember! Events and Exhibits Synergy Common Reading Summer Discussion Groups: The campus community is invited to gather with faculty, staff and student leaders for informal discussions of No Impact Man from 11am to noon on 5/19 and from 3:30 to 4:30pm on 6/28. Both events will be held in the Saffo Room (2009), Fisher Student Center, and led by Rachel Radom, First-Year Experience and Public Programming Librarian. Resources will be provided. Art Exhibit: An art exhibit featuring works by Ann Conner’s painting students will be on display at Randall Library’s Hayes Gallery during the summer. The Flash Fiction Project exhibit will move to the 2nd floor art wall. Free Massages for Students Preparing for Finals: UNCW’s Campus Activities and Involvement Center will sponsor free massages for students preparing for final exams during both summer sessions.
