DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM
DNS is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard name service that allows your computer to register and resolve domain names.
The DNS makes it possible to assign domain names to organizations independent of the routing of the numerical IP address.
In other words, DNS is a system that translates domain names into IP addresses.

DYNAMIC DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM
Dynamic DNS is a technology that allows you to update the IP address of a domain in real time.
Dynamic DNS makes it possible for people and other websites to connect to a particular server without having to track that server's IP address.
The DNS master file must be updated dynamically. The Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) therefore was devised to respond to this need. In DDNS, when a binding between a name and an address is determined, the information is sent, usually by DHCP to a primary DNS server. The primary server updates the zone. The secondary servers are notified either actively or passively.
Application of DDNS
DNS is its use in conjunction with DHCP, the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
Dynamic DNS is to provide static host names for dialup customers of ISPs.
Why we use DDNS?
A dedicated server usually runs DNS with a static IP address. It would be a problem if Google's IP address changed constantly.
An extra service runs on the host machine and monitors the IP Address.
When it changes, the Dynamic DNS service automatically takes notice, and updates the DNS record on the DNS server.
How can DDNS be used Today?
BIND-8, released by the Internet Software Consortium in May of 1997, includes some support for Dynamic DNS as specified in RFC2136.
It does not currently include the authentication mechanism that is described in RFC2137, however, meaning that any update requests received from allowed hosts will be honored.
How Can I Implement Dynamic DNS?
A server operator can implement Dynamic DNS on nearly any computer server with a minimum of setup requirements.
All one must do is simply change the maximum caching time, or the time intervals between caching of a domain, to a very short period.
The Limitations of Working with Dynamic IP Addresses
This results in the following problems:
It is not possible to create a fully meshed VPN community with dynamic IP gateways, since gateways will not know how to reach each other.
The gateway’s owner cannot run public Web servers.
Remote Access VPN users cannot connect to the gateway’s Remote Access VPN Server.
The Dynamic DNS Solution
Dynamic DNS (DDNS) solves this problem by allowing you to assign a domain name to a gateway with a dynamic IP address.
It is possible to create a fully meshed VPN community between all dynamic IP gateways, based on the DDNS information.
External users are able to access a Web server behind the gateway, using the DNS
