  • Best Practices For SEO SEO • SEO stands for search engine optimization whose foremost task Is to improve the visibility of website on the search engine organically i.e unpaid manner. •The better the visbility better the rank of the website. •SEO is divided into two categories 1) White SEO 2) Black SEO
  • White SEO  An SEO technique is considered white hat if it conforms to the search engines' guidelines and involves no deception.  White hat SEO is not just about following guidelines, but is about ensuring that there is no cloaking
  • Black SEO  Black hat SEO attempts to improve rankings in ways that are disapproved of by the search engines.  Black hat technique uses text that is hidden, either as text colored similar to the background.
  • Practices Involved In SEO  On Page Optimization Techniques 1)Quality and Unique Content: Quality content is content written for the site visitors. Unique Content relates to freshness of the code; hence fresh content is directly propotional for achieving higher page rank. 2) Title Tag: defines the title of a document and appears in three key places: browsers, search engine results pages, and external websites. The title element of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page's content.
  • Off page optimization techniques: 1) Social Bookmarking: Needed for creating back links to your site, therefore which helps in getting traffic to your site. Use bookmarking sites such as Pinterest, delicious, bookmark.net, folkd.com. 2) Guest Posting: A guest post is a piece of content the author and the blogger arrange to publish on the blogger's site for free. Guest Posting drives quality backlinks and targeted traffic.
  • 3) Directory Submission: Directory submission refers to the process of adding your website to a web directory along with other details of your website to the most appropriate category. Don't go for automatic submissions. Paid Directory – Yahoo, Aviva. Free Directory – dmoz, 4) Forum Posting: A place where people start communication (in the form of threads) and reply to other people's threads. A member of the community in the forum posts a message, which is visible to everyone in that community.
