  • 1. Ancient Athens and Ancient Sparta By Rachael Chelsea and Maddie
  • 2. Simularites between athens and sarta
    • They both are located between 3 mountain ranges. They are both Greek city states.
  • 3. Differences between athens and sparta
    • Life with the athens was free and open but life for the citizens in sparta was the exact opposite (harsh and cruel) As the athens trade on the sea spata does not trade at all
  • 4.
    • The Athens are democratic and Sparta is democratic
    • Sparta abd Athens are both polyanism which means they believe in many gods and they worship them
  • 5.
    • Sparta does not work they have slaves do it for them and and they get a piece of land
    • The athens work some of these jobs are teacher, blacksmith,merchant weaver musicians, solders, farmers, fisherman
    • Shepherd.

    • The Athens traded with egypt and knossoss and they traded spices and goods such as
    • Pottery, bronze, olive oil, wine textiles.
    • Sparta did not trade at all. Because there terrain was perfect for farming.
  • 7.
    • The Athens are located in greece and so is Sparta.
    • The Athens terrain is rocky with mountains and Sparta terrain is a plateau.

    • Sparta and Athens battles: Ionian Persian, Peloponnesian.
    • Their food was dull and plain they had bread and beer they ate meat such as sheep pigs cows goats and they were on a staple diet.
