  3. 3. Nouns<br />Common Nouns are the names of things such as people, places and objects.<br />Proper Nouns are the names of a particular person, place or thing and always begin with a capital letter.<br />
  4. 4. Example:<br />Lisa went to London on Friday and took her dog.<br />Proper Nouns: Lisa, London, Friday<br />Nouns: dog<br />
  5. 5. Pronouns:<br />A Pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. For example:<br />he<br />she<br />them<br />there <br />it <br />
  6. 6. Example<br />Lisa went to London on Friday and took her dog.<br />becomes...<br />She took it there.<br />She is a pronoun that replaces Lisa<br />it takes the place of dog<br />there takes the place of London<br />
