  48. 48. 5. Ascend the Holy mountain of his divine humanity. “Ascend the holy mountain of his divine humanity: his eyes in your eyes, his hands in your hands, his heart in you hearts, his wounds in your wounds, his cross in your cross, his sufferings in your sufferings. In this way you will become the potent presence of Jesus who, by means of you, can still today work mightily to bring all to salvation.” (Gobbi)Gerard David 1460-1523. The Transfiguration. Notre Dame. Brussels.
  49. 49. 6 Peter said to Jesus “Master, how good it is for us to be here.” If we are to pray, we must settle down relax and feel “how good it is for us to be here.” “The Lord has pitched the tent of his body among us and has thus inaugurated the messianic age.” (Pope Benedict XVI)How to pray with icons. By Miroslaw Tataryn
  50. 50. 7. Make us cleaner and whiter This is the preeminent light-giving icon. It is good for us to look at it and meditate on it. We implore you to bathe us in his light. With this feast, make us cleaner than spring water; wash us and make us whiter than snow.
  51. 51. 8. Glorious manifestation of the Trinity. The Transfiguration and the Cross go hand in hand. We show God’s glory in the most magnificent way through our own sacrificial love.Fra Angelico, The Transfiguration, 1440. San Marco Convent. Florence.
  52. 52. 9. Your personal transfiguration “Climb up the mountain of your personal transfiguration. On this mountain, you will also feel the extraordinary presence and action of your heavenly Mother, so that you may be trained and moulded until Christ is ‘fully formed’ in you. You will become a powerful witness of his love.” (Gobbi) The transformation of one soul can lead to the salvation of thousands more.—St. Seraphim
  53. 53. 10*** Go down with me Jesus himself is the divine Word of revelation. Jesus is the Torah. The disciples must accompany Jesus back down the mountain and learn ever anew about •the necessity of the Passion as the way to glory, and to •‘listen to Him.’ (Pope Benedict XVI)Raphael, The Transfiguration, 1520. Museo del Prado. Madrid.

  56. 56. Fifth Luminous Mystery The Institution of the Eucharist “I am the living bread that came down from Heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” The Holy Eucharist gives us not only grace but the Author of all grace, Jesus, God and Man. 57. 57. 1. No one has greater love than He who lays downhis life for those whom He loves.Leonardo da Vinci, The Last Supper.
  58. 58. 2. The Eucharist is the same sacrifice as on Calvary In the Eucharist the sacrifice of Christ becomes also the sacrifice of the members of his Body. The lives of the faithful, their praise, sufferings, prayer, and work are united with those of Christ and with his total offering. Christ’s sacrifice present on the altar makes it possible for all generations of Christians to be united with his offering. (Catechism)
  59. 59. 3. Bread of life: “I am the living bread that come down from heaven..Whoever eats of this Bread will have life and I will raise him up on the lastday. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I inhim. I am with you always, to the end of the ages.” (in the Eucharist.) Tintoretto, The Last supper. 1561.
  60. 60. 4. Daily Communion “Write this admonition in thy heart; and since without thy merit the Almighty has ordained, that thou receive holy Communion daily, seek by all possible means to preserve thyself in the good dispositions from one Communion to the other. It is the will of the Lord and my own, that with this sword thou fight the battles of the Almighty in the name of the holy Church against the invisible enemies. (Mary of Agreda)
  61. 61. 5. United with the Holy Trinity! The Eucharist is a true banquet in which Christ offers himself as our nourishment. He also grants us the Holy Spirit. “Grant that we who are nourished by his body and blood may be filled with his Holy Spirit.” Whoever is united with One of the Three Persons is thereby united to the whole Blessed Trinity, for this Oneness is indivisible. (St. Faustina Kowalska)Titian, The Last Supper.
  62. 62. 6. The Eucharist: source and summit of all evangelization. In holy communion each of us receives Christ, and Christ receives each of us. Holy Communion brings about the mutual “abiding” of Christ and each of his followers. The Eucharist thus appears as both the source and summit of all evangelization. (Pope John Paul II)Joos van Ghent, The Communion of the apostles, 1460 Palazzo Ducale. Urbino.
  63. 63. 7. The Eucharist is a priceless treasure “The Eucharist is a priceless treasure: by praying before it outside of Mass we are enabled to make contact with the very wellspring of grace.” (Pope John Paul II) “Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us.” (St. Alphonsus Ligouri)
  64. 64. 8. Sorrowful mother of the Eucharist.“Today my motherly heart is deeply wounded and saddened because Isee that about the divine presence of Jesus in the Eucharist there ismuch emptiness, silence, neglect, and abandonment.I want to bring you here with me, prostrate before everytabernacle, in an act of adoration and reparation.” (Gobbi) Let every (retired) person understand that your greatest contribution to the Church’s mission lies in your adoration and reparation before the Blessed Sacrament ! Many souls can be saved by praying the Divine Mercy prayer at 3 pm.
  65. 65. 9. Communion of life with Jesus “Before the tabernacle, you should be in a communion of life with Jesus. Make of Jesus your dearest friend. Tell your love to Jesus . This communion of life with Jesus will develop and mature into your holiness, and of a possibility to transform evil into good, and to act profoundly that souls may be led by you to salvation.” (Gobbi)
  66. 66. 10. Jesus washes the feet of his disciples“Today is the day of the new commandment: ‘Love one another as Ihave love you.’ Beloved sons, put yourselves ever at the service of all.You must also wash the feet of your brothers, pour balm on theirwounds, share with them in their needs and their poverty.” (Gobbi) “Ford Maddox Brown, Jesus washing Peter’s feet.

  69. 69. Consecration to the Immaculate Heart (Short version) “ Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, we who belong to the Marian Movement, consecrate ourselves in a special way to your Immaculate Heart. We intend to live with you, through you and for you, all the obligations assumed by our Baptismal consecration to bring about in ourselves that interior conversion so urgently demanded by the Gospel, that we may be available only to do always the will of the Father. Allow us to dwell in the garden of your Immaculate Heart . Lead us to a spiritual renewal with prayer and penance, with the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, the fervent celebration and adoration of the Holy Eucharist, the practice of Christian virtues, and in the works of the apostolate . Help us to be the disciples of The Marian Movement to multiply everywhere Cenacles of prayer made with you for the evangelization of the world, and the Divine Mercy prayer , for the salvation of the world.
