- “ 止于至善 ” Idea Part1 Sea 自从建校之日起，厦门大学就与海结下了不解之缘。这是创意第一部分。
- “ 止于至善 ” Idea Part2 Bridge 这是一座“花桥”，也即“华侨”，暗示厦门大学由华侨陈嘉庚先生创办。同时四座桥墩暗示厦门大学的“四种精神”。厦门大学同时作为文化、道德等方面的桥梁，也作为中国与世界、大陆与台湾等之间的桥梁。
