  • 1. Balancing energy needs Energy intake is the energy that we get in our food in a day. Energy output is the energy that our body use in a day. If the energy intake is greater than energy output, then fat is stored in the body mass increase and it can becoming overweight or even obese.
  • 2. The Stomach and Small Intestine The stomach is a muscular bag that usually hold about 1 litre of food but can stretch to accommodate more. The small intestine is not really so small as it is about 6 metres long; however its diameter is less than that of the large intestine.
