Beautiful vineyard powerpoint presentation

 2. 2. about us
We are a small wine producer located in the heart of rural Hampshire. From our 9 acre organic vineyard located on the sunny south-facing slopes of the Hampshire downs, we have been producing wine of the highest quality for 10 years.
4. 4. our vineyard
We believe that great wine really does start in the vineyard, they area mirror of our vineyard, the combination of our warn sunny location, fertile chalky soils and the work we put it during the seasons.
Our vines, carefully selected to ensure interesting and complex wines, were first planted in 1998, are cultivated following UK Soil Association organic principles with no artificial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides being used.
5. 5. organic principles
Organic farms have 50% more wildlife, support more farming jobs, and cause less pollution. It is generally a more energy efficient system of production
Our belief is that by encouraging the natural biology of the land, will produce premium fruit and therefore a better quality wine
The soil is the basis of everything we do, we work hard to keep it healthy and fertile. Our vines are fed with liquid compost teas and with green manure cover crops such as clovers, these in turn encourage the natural biology of the soil and provide habitats and food sources birds and for insects especially bees and butterflies.
6. 6. our wines
Our use of both traditional and new world techniques together with carefully selected clones and rootstocks of each of our grape varieties result in a range of distinctive and carefully balanced wines.
.
7. 7. our wines
A delicate blend of Madeleine Angevine and Bacchus grapes produces a light, floral dry white wine with interesting fruity flavours.
8. 8. our wines
This richly coloured, medium bodied red is the result of carefully blending Pinot Noir and Rondo grapes. It has a lovely rounded finish with a strong forest fruits nose.
9. 9. our wines
We use traditional champagne making methods to achieve a distinctive wine of outstanding charm and character. The blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes produces a wonderful structure and richness with floral fruit aromas
10. 10. production
In an average season we produce between 7500 and 8000 bottles. Production varies slightly as climatic conditions in some years suit production of some grape varieties better than others.
Production in 2009
48%
32%
20%
11. 11. carbon neutral
Experts agree that one of the first industries that will affected by global warming will be the wine industry, we believe its our responsibility to lead the British wine making industry to carbon neutrality.
With 30%of an individual's carbon foot-print made up of their food choices, food is the single most important, everyday way for people to reduce their own environmental impact.
12. 12. our commitment
purchasing renewable energy
convert estate vehicles to Bio-diesel
more energy efficient waste recycling
Continue to souse recycled packaging
13. 13. our future
As a whole, the English wine industry is undergoing a boom both in terms of size and reputation. The main supermarkets are now stocking a range wide range of wines from English producers.
We intend to grow along with it, increasing the size of our vineyard and the range of grape varieties we cultivate. We will continue to promote our organic and low carbon credentials, offering our customers a high quality product with a story and provenance which appeals to them.
