  2. 2. Purdue Promise commits to providing assistance to help youachieve success during your time at Purdue.To help you reach your goals Purdue Promise has designed a number ofprograms, initiatives, and resources to support you.
  3. 3. As a Purdue Promise Support Program Participant it is yourresponsibility to note the following recommendations. As a Purdue Promise ProgramParticipant, I understand that I am strongly encouraged to:
  4. 4. Strive for academic excellence.This includes: Remaining in contact Remaining in Contact with AcademicAttending all classes Studying regularly with Purdue Promise Advisors, and Course Coach Instructors
  5. 5. Meet and engage with my PurduePromise Coach throughout thesemester.• He/she will offer to meet with me twice each semester. Part of this engagement will require that I complete periodic academic progress checks and career/ leadership/ professional development exploration activities. – I understand that my Coach is available, in conjunction with my academic advisor, to support me in my academic, social, leadership, and life skills development.

Seek leadership and professionaldevelopment opportunities, eitherwithin Student Success at Purdueor elsewhere within the University.• I can log my experiences annually in the Purdue Promise database to track my personal development over time. – I understand that leadership and personal development can be satisfied by a number of experiences. Such examples include undergraduate research, study abroad, internships, community service, employment, and student organization membership.
  7. 7. Attend periodic open social hours hosted byPurdue Promise to meet new people andengage with program staff and studentleaders.
  8. 8. Work with the Student Employment Office tosecure an on-campus job if I am offered FederalWork Study funds and I am seekingemployment.
  9. 9. Read all electronicmessages/updates sent by thePurdue Promisestaff to my Purdueemail account.
  10. 10. Update Purdue Promise of any changes in my contact information.
  11. 11. Discuss any concerns I may have, as it relates toacademics, work, or personal life issues that maynegatively affect my academic performance,with a member of Purdue Promise staff.
