    • Introduction
      • In the past mental health professionals have attributed depression, anxiety and many other symptoms to some internal deficit (hole in the head theory) and not attributes of the situation or biological reactions.
    • Defining Childhood Brain Stress
      • There is a growing working definition that researchers are using to describe and define childhood brain stress disorders. The simple composite of these is that “anything that interrupts or interferes with normal emotional, psychological or physical developmental processes is stressful and may be traumatic”
    • When can trauma begin?
        • Exposure to toxins and pollutants
        • Parental drug and alcohol use and abuse
        • High levels of stress being experienced by the pregnant mother
        • Poor prenatal care
        • Highly emotional environments for the pregnant mother.
