  •  Around the world, mostly in India,several studies have been conductedto discover good antioxidant andscavenging plants extracts, in order todevelop new therapeutics to treatdiabetes. Six plants extracts were found in thedatabases of investigations around theworld, showing superoxide radicalscavenging activity. In our case, S.jambos aqueous andmethanolic extract, showed IC50’s of37.65g/mL and 79.24g/mLrespectively. Our results suggest that S.jambosis a good antioxidant andtherefore, more studies to screenphytochemicals that scavengesuperoxide radicals isrecommended to develop newtherapeutic methods to treatdiabetes.IC50 of Diabetes Adjuvants andsuperoxide scavengersAdjuvants around the world IC50’sSpondia spinatta 13.46μg/mlBasilici herba 57.15g/mLPanax ginseng 3.18μg/mLLagerstroemia speciosa 6.15μg/mLErvatamia coronaria 118.8μg/mL
