BASSIM H. HAMEEDProfessor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed received hisPh.D. in Chem. Eng. from University ofSalford, UK, in 1992. He is a Professor atSchool of Chemical Engineering, UniversitiSains Malaysia. His research interest isReaction Engineering and AdsorptionTechnology. To date, he has published morethan 155 articles in ISI-indexed journals andother 80 articles in International and nationaljournals and proceedings. Prof. Bassim’spublications have been cited over 4,350 times(Scopus), with 7 having been cited more than100 times each, and he has an author h-indexof 40. A recent report of MOHE, MalaysianCitation Centre, 2012, Prof. Bassim is the topcited Malaysian-based author in Engineering,2001-2010 with average citations perpublication of 27.26. Also recently, ScienceDirect reported that more than 15 of hisarticles were among the Top 25 HottestArticles accessed in 2007-2012.  He is arecipient of three Sanggar Sanjung (Hall ofFame) awards for Research Product in 2003and 2004 and USM Excellent AchievementAward in 2007 and 2011. Also he was arecipient of Sanggar Sanjung Awardsexcellence in journal publication in 2007,2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Prof. Bassim hasconducted many workshops for universitylecturers, postgraduate students andresearchers.
