  • 1. Live Webinar - Digital Analytics Description As an important part of your online learning experience, live webinars provide an opportunity to break the ‘digital solitude’ of online learning and engage with your instructor, content experts and your peers. The focus of this 1.5 hour live webinar assignment will be on developing your personal and professional skill sets by relating course material to real life examples. For you to get the most out of this webinar, you should be prepared to discuss topics relating to the following question: “What information can we learn about consumers and companies through social media and how can we readily apply this information in business” During this session, you will be expected to engage with the presenter/guest speaker concerning this question. The date and time of the webinar is listed in the course calendar and you will receive two emails prior to the event outlining specific requirements for the webinar. Additional information about the guest speaker, their company, and any other pertinent information will also be distributed to the class in these emails. Requirements To successfully meet the requirements for this assignment as outlined in the included evaluation rubric, you are required to construct and submit three questions prior to the event, attend the webinar, and actively engage throughout the course of the webinar (i.e., ask submitted questions and engage in appropriate ‘conversations’ as they arise). While webinars are not ‘required’, you are strongly encouraged to attend as live-interaction is a valuable learning component and part of the activity evaluation. Webinar This event will be held during the evening to encourage the greatest amount of attendance. Students will receive an email invitation, with necessary instructions, to join the hosted webinar at www.anymeeting.com. For this event, students will be required to access a high-speed Internet connection and use audio/video equipment (i.e., Webcam, microphone) to engage with their peers online. If you do not have these available to you, or a private location to engage with the group, a call-in number will be provided but charges associated with long distance calling may be incurred. Every student will receive at least two invites to this event with full instructions. Submission Three questions should be submitted, prior to the event, to the Desire 2 Learn dropbox folder entitled: Live Webinar - Digital Analytics. Value This activity is worth 75 points, 25 points for submitting your questions prior to the webinar and 50 for attending and actively engaging in the webinar (i.e., asking questions of the guest speaker). | 1 University of Wisconsin-Stout | College of Management | EricBrey, Ph.D.
