Challenge Questions Assignment Challenge Questions Assignment Document Transcript

    • | !1 Mo dul e 1 - C h a l le n g e Q ue s tio n s! Description! One of the core components of learning is the ability to engage with educational materials and apply what you have learned to new situations. This seemingly simple task can be difficult when questions require critical thought to relate examples to specific content. The focus of this assignment is to create an opportunity to learn advanced skills such as critical thinking and knowledge application. Requirements! To successfully meet the requirements for this assignment as outlined in the included evaluation rubric, you are required to answer the following challenge questions. You must answer each question completely and thoughtfully using critical thinking skills to effectively apply what you have learned. The questions you need to answer include: 1. Provide a book definition, your own explanation and an industry example of the following three concepts: inseparability, intangibility, and variability. 2. Based upon the principles discussed, how would the four types of marketing orientations impact the way in which the Waterfront Bar & Grill approached their marketing efforts (i.e., provide specific examples on how their advertising or promotional activities would change based upon each of the orientations)? 3. Identify two specific companies, firms or independent properties within your industry (hospitality related) and compare/contrast their effectiveness of using social media to engage customers. 4. Recommend two additional readings/multimedia presentations that would enhance your peer’s understanding of the module’s topics. Provide a 2-3 sentence description of reach resource, a link to the resource, and a 2-3 sentence reasoning as to why these are excellent resources for your peers to examine. 5. Disagree or support the following statement by providing a 10-15 sentence response using two references: one from the module’s learning resources (provide specific page number) and one external reference (it can be any type of resource except for Wikipedia and only a hyperlink reference is needed). Marketing plays a very small role in the development of an organization’s strategy. Sub m issio n !
