  2. 2. This film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and written by the ex-professional skateboarder Stacy Peralta. It’s based on real events in the story of the Z-Boys, an influential Californian skateboard team winners of several world championships during the 70s.

  4. 4. In the early 70s, in Venice, California, a group of young skaters enjoyed skating on the streets and surfing the Pacific Ocean Park. Skip Engblom, the owner of a surf shop, offered to sponsor the guys and get more money for the store. The new group is called “Zephyr Team”. They get remarkable success in local competitions. Each one got offers from different sponsors and then, split up. The boys, each already made ​​their way, met again by the news of the serious illness of Sid, one of the guys from the old team of Zephyr and friend of the three. Sid eventually died by his advanced condition.
