  • 2. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR PLANET?
  • 3. Our planet is being harmed by: • Pollution • Deforestation • Global Warming • Greenhouse effect
  • 4. Pollution • Damage caused to air, water, soil, etc. by harmful chemicals and waste.
  • 5. WATER POLLUTION
  • 6. SOIL POLLUTION
  • 7. AIR POLLUTION
  • 8. Deforestation • Removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use.
  • 9. Global Warming • An increase in world temperatures, caused by an increase in carbon dioxide.
  • 10. Greenhouse effect • The warming of the air around the earth as a result of the sun’s heat being trapped by pollution.
  • 11. What can WE do to avoid this, and take care of our environment?
  • 12. What WE can do is:
  • 13. • Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. • Separate the rubbish into categories (paper, glass, plastic). • Use public transport, or walk and cycle. • Save water, don’t let it run. • Turn off the lights when they’re not needed.
  • 14. • Don’t throw papers in the streets. • Try to plant trees or take care of them by watering them. • Try to consume less inorganic products. • Use renewable energy.
  • 15. LET’S GO GREEN!
