  • 1. Ramenzoni Andrea and Rapino Juan Ignacio
  • 2. Antarctica is a continent where the temperatures are so cold that the snow doesn´t melt, but it forms so much that its weigh presses down on the lower layers to form ice. The animals don´t live there permanently because it’s very cold, but some go there to breed.
  • 3. Its edges are boarded by seven countries. The land there is the tundra, and its warm enough for animals and plants to survive. In summer, the ice melts and the surface thaws, but under it there´s permafrost, that makes the land boggy.
  • 4. -Antarctica •Penguin •Whale •Seal Some animals are adapted to swim in the sea and to reduce the heat lost because of the icy winds, that makes it difficult to survive on land. Penguins and seals swim.
  • 5. -Arctic •Warlus •Arctic fox • Polar bear Another thing is that animals, like polar bears, build shelters to protect themselves from the cold. Some animals have different winter and summer coats. In winter, they become white. In summer, they become brown. For example, the arctic fox.
