ESTABLISHES ARSL. </li></ul><ul><li>1990-1999 – CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF RURAL LIBRARIANSHIP AT CLARION UNIVERSITY SPONSORED THE ANNUAL CONFERENCES HELD THROUGHOUT THE U.S. </li></ul><ul><li>2001-2007 – ANNUAL CONFERENCES WERE HELD IN COLUMBUS, OH. </li></ul><ul><li>2003 – THE ASSOCIATION OFFICIALLY BECAME ASSOCIATION OF RURAL AND SMALL LIBRARIES. </li></ul><ul><li>2004-2006- ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH ABOS. </li></ul><ul><li>2007 – DECISION WAS MADE TO HAVE ANNUAL CONFERENCES IN DIFFERENT STATES AND GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS ACROSS THE U.S. </li></ul><ul><li>ARSL MOVES FROM CLARION UNIVERSITY. </li></ul><ul><li>2008 – DR. VAVREK RETIRES AND CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF RURAL LIBRARIANSHIP IS ELIMINATED. </li></ul><ul><li>2008 – FIRST CONFERENCE PARTNER WAS CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY IN SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA. </li></ul><ul><li>2009- PARTNERING WITH TENNESSEE STATE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES TO PUT ON ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN GATLINBURG, TN. </li></ul><ul><li>2010 - ANNUAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULED FOR DENVER, CO, PARTNERING WITH COLORADO STATE LIBRARY, COLORADO LIBRARY CONSORTIUM AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC CENTER FOR RESEARCH, AND ABOS. </li></ul>
