It all started with our Intranet In 2004:  many local intranets, diversity in look and feel  not connected, URL unknown, no global search  locally supported  So no corporate messaging, nor sharing of information “If Océ only knew what Océ knows”

The future as seen then One intranet for all 1. start with uniform design and navigation and get rid of all the local ones 2. next versions to deal with global document management, workflows and collaboration

Crisis!  Decline in sales USA from September 2007  First lay-offs Q1 2008  Full crisis hits NL September 2008  Total headcount reduction 2.350  Severe cost cutting measures  Intranet budget down from €350.000 in 2007 to €0 in 2008  Business and technical staff down from 8 to 2 FTE  Intranet in maintenance mode - development and roll out stopped!
