12. 12. What Employee Thinks

When we start in a new role, our needs are pretty basic. We want to know that what is going to be expected. How much we are going to earn? Will I have office, a desk, even a phone? At this stage we are asking, “What do I get” from this role.

 13. 13.

Do I know what is expected of me at work place?

2. Do I have the materials and equipment I need to do my work right and effectively?

 14. 14. What do I give?

As we climb little higher, our perspective changes. We start asking different questions. We want to know whether we are any good at job. Are we in a role where we can excel? Do other people think that we are excelling? If not, what do they think about us? Will they help me? Here we are focused on our individual contribution and other people’s perception of it.

 15. 15. 16. 16. Do I Belong Here

You keep climbing. By now we have asked difficult questions, of our self and of others, and the answers have, hopefully, given strength. Our perspective widens. We look around and ask, “Do I belong here?” We may be committed and passionate – is everyone else is as we are?

 17. 17. “ Do I belong here”

At work, do my opinion seem to count?

Does the work/purpose/mission of my company make me feel like my work is important?

Are my co-workers committed to doing quality work?

do I have a best friend at

 18. 18.

This is the most advance stage of the climb. At this stage you are impatient for everyone to improve, asking, how can we all grow? You want to make things better, to learn, to grow, to innovate. This stage tells that after climbing earlier three stages, can we innovate effectively. We can innovate, we can apply new ideas,

 19. 19. ” How can we all grow?”

In the last six months, have I talked with someone about my progress?

At work, have I had opportunities to learn and grow?
