  8. 10. <ul><li>Under oxidizing conditions metals combine with oxygen , hydroxide , silica sulfate or carbonate to deposit metallic oxides, hydroxides, </li></ul><ul><li>silicates, sulfates or </li></ul><ul><li>carbonates on the sea- </li></ul><ul><li>floor. </li></ul><ul><li>Sulfides deposited on </li></ul><ul><li>sea-floor ,preserved </li></ul><ul><li>by impermeable cover </li></ul><ul><li>of sediment or lava. </li></ul>
