  2. 2. Plants <ul><li>Any living thing that is not an animal is a plant. </li></ul><ul><li>Plants usually are green, have roots, stems, leaves, and flowers. </li></ul><ul><li>There are a few plants that don’t. Some of them are ferns, mosses, conifers, and fungi. </li></ul>
  3. 5. Moss <ul><li>They are small green plants that sometimes spread like mats over damp grounds. </li></ul><ul><li>They have no real roots, stems, or leaves. </li></ul><ul><li>The whole plant is able to soak up water not just the roots. </li></ul>
  4. 8. Fungi <ul><li>Fungi are not green like most other plants and the have no stems, roots, or leaves. </li></ul><ul><li>The main part of fungus is the network of threads under the ground. </li></ul><ul><li>These threads bring in food and water to the rest of the plants. </li></ul>
