Plants Plants Presentation Transcript

  • Plants By: Ms. Rahmani
  • Plants
    • Any living thing that is not an animal is a plant.
    • Plants usually are green, have roots, stems, leaves, and flowers.
    • There are a few plants that don’t. Some of them are ferns, mosses, conifers, and fungi.
  •
  •
  • Moss
    • They are small green plants that sometimes spread like mats over damp grounds.
    • They have no real roots, stems, or leaves.
    • The whole plant is able to soak up water not just the roots.
  •
  •
  • Fungi
    • Fungi are not green like most other plants and the have no stems, roots, or leaves.
    • The main part of fungus is the network of threads under the ground.
    • These threads bring in food and water to the rest of the plants.
  •
  •
  • Fern s
    • Ferns are larger green plants that live on land.
    • Ferns have roots, underground stems and leaves.
    • Ferns form new plants from their spores.
  •
  •
  • Conifers (Gymnosperms)
    • Most conifers are evergreen-they keep their leaves all winter.
    • Some conifers are like corns that produce seeds in the inside.
    • Conifers come in many different shapes and sizes.
