BREAKFAST- we have breakfast usually between 6 and 9 o“clock. The traditional breakfast is very easy:fruit, cereals with milk and sugar, cacao, coffee or tea, yoghurt, toast with butter and ham or salami,...Most people don't have breakfast. They go to work and they eat there. LUNCH- between 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock people in Slovakia have luch. In Slovakia is the main meal of the day lunch. Most people have lunch in the afternoon. The typical lunch is : soup;meat with potatoes, chips, rice or salad;vegetables;orange juice or lemonade... Children have a packed lunch in school or they have their lunch in school canteen. DINNER- Some people don't have dinner.People have a light meal for their dinner : roll with butter and honey,yoghurt,cacao,salad.... Slovaks usually buy food in Tesco, Lidl, Metro, Billa, Coop Jednota... MY FAVOURITE RECIPE: BaSiC pAnKaKes 2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred or sifted before measuring 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 large eggs 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups milk 2 tablespoons melted butter Preparation: Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and 1 1/2 cups of milk; add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Blend in melted butter. If the batter seems too thick to pour, add a little more milk. Cook on a hot, greased griddle, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbly, a little dry around the edges, and lightly browned on the bottom; turn and brown the other side. Recipe for pancakes serves 4.
