Undertake a research project about a National Park in England, Scotland or Wales. You might want to look at the one closest to Meadowhead School! You could do this by using books, holiday brochures and internet sites shown on the map information sheet .
The eight bullet points below give you some ideas to start with;
The full name of the park you have chosen to study
The year in which the park was given National Park status
The country and county, which the park is in.
The area of the park (in sq km)
Any natural features such as mountains, lakes and volcanoes within the park area.
The population (how many people live there) of the park and the names and locations of any large towns or villages in it.
The kinds of jobs that people in the park do for a living.
The main things that tourists and visitors can see, do and enjoy in difference parts of the park.
