    1. How has farming changed the landscape? Aim : To discover how our countryside has changed over the last 60 years.
    2. The way it used to be – 1940’s Collect crops by hand No machines in sight

    4. The big hedge debate
      • Advantages
      • Attractive scenery
      • Roots hold soil together and reduce soil erosion
      • Provides a home for the birds and insects.
      • Provides a natural divide instead of putting up fences and walls.
    5. When they’re gone…
      • Soil erosion can take place.
      • This means that the soil is removed by the wind (blow away) or rain (washed away).
      • Without soil, we wouldn’t be alive as it is essential for growing our food.

      • Identify all the changes that have taken place and summarize them in a table

    8. Terrible
      • Bug flew into a barn
      • A farmer was milking his cow. He was just starting to get a good rhythm going when a bug flew into the barn and started circling his head. Suddenly, the bug flew into the cow's ear. The farmer didn't think much about it, until the bug squirted out into his bucket.
      • It went in one ear and out the udder.
