  • 25. Digitaal gestuurde productietechnieken De toekomstige iMade “Fabriek" betreft niet enkel 3D printing. Het gaat om digitaal gestuurde productietechnieken, nét omdat deze technieken lokale productie toegankelijker maken.
  • 26. Focus op kleine series In de iMade “Fabriek" worden kleine series gemaakt. Geen enkele stuks en geen massaproducties.
  • 27. Laagdrempelige instap, hoogwaardige afwerking De instap voor de KMO moet laagdrempelig genoeg blijven, al mag de kwaliteit van het product hierdoor niet negatief beïnvloed worden.
  • 28. Competitief met traditionele markt Producten gemaakt in de iMade fabriek moeten competitief zijn met traditioneel vervaardigde producten, zowel op vlak van prijs, kwaliteit als beleving.
  • 29. Geen duurzaamheidslabel iMade wil niet gelijkstaan aan een duurzaamheidslabel. Wel kunnen producten gemaakt in de iMade fabriek een soort van iMade “stempel” krijgen, te vergelijken met “Made in Belgium”.
  • 30. Hoogwaardig gesloten kringloop iMade producten moeten passen binnen een hoogwaardig gesloten kringloop. Materialen moeten op een bepaalde manier terugkomen en/of terugvloeïen.
  • 31. Design principles Door het vooropstellen van “design principles”, moet de KMO aan der lijve de duurzame en innovatieve aspecten als meerwaarde ondervinden.
  • 32. Sector overschrijdend Het iMade project heeft als doel sectoroverschreidende samenwerking te bemoedigen. Hierdoor is de iMade fabriek “open” van structuur.
