  2. 2. What is hydroelectricity? (hydropower) <ul><li>Hydroelectricity is a way to get energy without burning fossil fuels like gas. Since fossil fuels release carbon dioxide or CO2, hydroelectricity is a way to NOT release carbon dioxide. </li></ul>
  3. 3. How does a Hydroelectric dam work? <ul><li>First a dam is built to slow down the water were a lake exists. Water is allowed to flow bit by bit , through tunnels, so it can turn turbines and drive the genarator , so electricity can be made. </li></ul>

  5. 5. Where in the WORLD are hydro-dams? <ul><li>Hydro-dams can be found in Canada, USA, Brazil, China, Norway, Japan, Sweden, India and France. A famous dam is Hoover dam. One of the biggest dam in the world. </li></ul>
