• In this project, Senior Secondary 3 students were the basic learners for the project. In other to obtain a comprehensive and positive outcome, a class was used and divided into 2 groups namely the ‘Control Group’ and the “Experimental Group’. The aims of the project are:-
-Students will be able to use ICT tools to research geographical locations in the world.
-To be able to locate and calculate the time difference between 2 places on the earth surface.
-To be able to calculate distance and positions of places on the earth surface using higher-level thinking skills to understand the features of longitude and latitude
-To also be able to use the 3-D images presented on the internet and presentations to simplify their understanding of features and occurrences relating to longitude and latitude of the earth.
-To engage pupils in personally meaningful, open-ended scientific inquiry.
-Pupils/teachers engaged in open-ended problem solving and higher order thinking exercises.
-Opportunities for meaningful group work and peer tutoring.
-Provide models for a more understanding of the project topic applying the knowledge of technology.
• The planning and management of the project was well laid out and executed with some hitches along the way. It was a challenge for the topic to be conducted at the same time for the control and experimental group. But planning helped.
