A DIFFERENT ROAD - Episode 2

“She was once a part of me. Now
she’s only a distant memory...”

“Why not just let someone know she
was safe?”

“Why wouldn’t she trust her own
mother?”

Her fiancé was the perfect
gentleman. Everyone knew she was
just afraid of commitment.

Standing at the entrance, she figured
this was as good a place as any to
forget the trials of her day.

Soon enough however, the feeling of
danger returned...

She rushed to her room, failing to
convince herself she wasn’t trapped
in an inescapable nightmare

“I am NOT a victim”, she proclaimed
under her breath, knowing now was
the moment to face her fears

The corridor light was overwhelming
but in the blur she caught a glimpse
of his approach...

The next thing she remembers is
waking up in a completely different
place.

Yet her sudden jolt of memory
helped her realise, the stranger was
not so unfamiliar after all.
