    1. High School Football Coaches Presented by Maine Prince Philadelphia Sports Training Center
    2. Mission Statement
      • To provide student-athletes in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 gpa) with their school an opportunity to play their skilled position and promote year round participation in a structured strength & conditioning training program.
      • The goal is to encourage student-athletes to
      • maintain progression on their grades and
      • motivate them to want to pursue a college degree
      • at the end of their high school career.
    3. Description of the Passing Football League
      • The only & largest 7-on-7 Football League in the country
      • Teams perform 2 community service clean ups
      • Only 7-on-7 league that offers cash prizes
      • 10 – 20 Squad members and at least 1 coach
      • Officials, scorekeepers, stats recorded
      • Games at Fairmount Park on May 2 nd – July 4 th
      • Every team plays 10 games and 1 playoff game
      • PFL Official website updated weekly with league stories,
      • spotlight on player of the week by local reporter.
    4. Description of Teams Activities
      • Middle School & High School divisions
      • 20 Teams with 400 student-athletes
      • 10-week regular season
      • 4-week post season
      • College Recruiting Seminar for coaches, parents, and student-athletes
      • All team captains and coaches participate in weekly conference calls on league feedback
    5. Prizes & Awards Given
      • $1000 Grand Prize to the Athletic Department
      • Up to $100 in a Bank of America College Savings Plan to the Final 4 team members
      • College Educational Account set up through UPromise to plan for college by saving everyday
      • Awards to: MVP, highest g.p.a, college bound senior, community service award, leading receiver-passer-interception-less sacks allowed

    7. Vision of the Passing Football League
      • Encourage student-athletes to have a higher educational standard at their respective school
      • Expand the operations of the 7-on-7 Passing Football League to other metropolitan cities on the east coast
      • Get parents and student-athletes to understand the importance of college savings plans
      • Set a standard for Spring Football to reduce overtraining, lessen injuries, and decrease the drop out rate
      • Promote positive images of Philadelphia youth and the city
    8. Community Impact on Philadelphia
      • Positive and healthy avenue for youth to be involved in familiar & popular sports activities
      • Assist football coaches in promoting off-season strength & conditioning training
      • Reduces teens to engage in criminal activities
      • Promote importance of education as a student-athlete
      • Improves the structure of community reinforcement
      • Participants sponsored perform community service
      • Community awareness of positive teens in Philly
    9. Economic Impact to Philadelphia
      • Fundraising assists The Sports Training Foundation to reach out to more student-athletes in the Philadelphia
      • Increase motivation to improve the 34% graduation rate to over 60% in the School District of Philadelphia
      • Student-Athletes will get employed on a regular schedule to continue extracurricular activities
      • Parental Involvement will produce more quality family time and encourage savings planning for college tuition
    10. Game Day Agenda
      • 8am – 11am 7-on-7 Football Games
      • 11am – 12pm Encouragement from College Football Coaches to athletes
      • Starting Saturday, May 2 nd – August 8 th
      • Audience of approximately 150-200 student-athletes throughout the Philadelphia region
      • Coaches get to observe players in passing situations only. No Running!

        • 6 Camps within 25 miles of Philadelphia (6 locations)
      • Football Speed Training Camp
        • Hosted at Temple University, June 16 th – August 9 th
      • Sports Training Program
        • Hosted at Tri State Sports, June 16 th – August 9
      • Speed Training Seminars & Clinics
        • Various locations throughout the tri-state area
      • Marc Jackson Youth Basketball Camps
      • Pre-Season Life Skills Experience, August 2009
