    • How to Have a Healthy Back If you are currently concerned about your back health and safety, you are not alone. Many, many people are currently struggling with back problems. Taking Care of Your Back One of the main reasons that people have back problems is because they do not know what they need to do to take care of their backs. Usually, younger people do not realize that certain things that they do are not very good for their backs. They are just not very careful when they definitely should be very careful. Sometimes, people are even born with back problems. People in their family could’ve had back problems, and then passed it down through their genes. While this is unfortunate, there are things people can do in order to still have healthy backs despite having bad genes. Keeping Your Back Strong Here are a few things you can do to strengthen and help your back stay strong. One of the best things you can do for your back is just to stand. Stand with one foot in front of the other with your knees slightly bent. This helps take pressure off your lower back and decreases strain felt in your back in general. Standing is an excellent and easy exercise to do to help strengthen your back. For people who must do a lot of sitting during the day, there are also sitting exercises you can do to help strengthen your back. Sitting with your knees slightly higher than your hips provides excellent support for your lower back. Sitting like this will also help to strengthen your abdominal muscles. With this exercise, you can kill two birds with one stone. A great stretch for your back is to reach. If you stand on a stool and reach over your head for something on a shelf above you, you are stretching your back in a great way. Just make sure not to strain your back. You may wonder how you will know when you have stretched too much and too far and have strained your back. When you have thrown out your back, you will know. It will be extremely painful and uncomfortable and you will hardly be able to move. This is definitely not the goal when you are trying to stretch your back.
    • If you have thrown out your back, you should go see a chiropractor in Lehi so you can get your back checked out. You could have done serious damage to your back, so it is a good idea to go to a chiropractor in Lehi so they can tell you what you need to do to try to get your back to a healthy state again. If you are trying to carry several heavy objects, it is better to put one in one hand and the other in the other hand. This distributes the weight evenly and puts less pressure on your back overall. If you must carry a heavy object just in one hand, carry the object close to your body. This will help keep strain off your back and will help keep the weight evenly distributed.
