  • Summer dishes 2 • In summer we prefer light dishes. • Our diet becomes more varied with new potatoes, a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit. • The most typical dishes of the summer are stuffed peppers and lecsó which is a thick vegetable ragout.
  • Lecso 3 We cannot make typical Hungarian lecsó without tomatoes, peppers and onions rich in flavour. We can prepare it with bacon, sausages, frankfurters, eggs, rice or even tarhonya which is a Hungarian egg-based pasta grain. View slide
  • Lecso – the basic recipe 4 •Heat the oil and fry the finely chopped onions till golden. •Add pepper slices and simmer till the peppers get soft. •Add tomato slices and simmer till you get some gravy. •Season it with salt and simmer it till it’s ready.
