  • Working for France Telecom you will be aware of the Mobile market so I’ll only spend a minute on this…….. When we first started using Mobile Devices the market focused on Voice technologies – pretty soon a mobile phone became part of day to day life – how would we manage with out them! Then we started to see data across a wireless network – starting with simple SMS messages but increasingly focused on business applications – PIM and email but also SAP, Siebel as we moved to FFA and SFA solutions. It was at this point that IBM identified the opportunity as being sufficiently sized to set up a EBO. As we continue up the technology curve we are seeing new applications – not just dependent on mobile phones but also machine to machine communicating wirelessly. And we’re even seeing the pick up of Consumer Services as new devices emerge that are consumer friendly.
