Wong Lifescapes International HRP LanDesign HRP Studio Land Arc West DBS Landscape Architecture Mission Landscape Founding Partner David B. Salkowitz has been practicing Landscape Architecture in California since 1990, and his 20 years of work experience encompasses many successful projects throughout the US, and the international community. Formerly a Principal and Studio Director with one of the industry’s leading international hospitality and gaming-resort design firms, David brings with him a focus in leisure-resort and hospitality design and project management. In addition he exhibits an in- depth understanding of entertainment- oriented mixed-use projects, as well as "California-Lifestyle" influenced, multi- and single-family housing projects, and luxury family estates. Also a former Principal and Design Director with one of Southern California's premier residential master-planning and landscape architecture firms, his project-visioning and design-development leadership skills are well-honed, and have been instrumental in directing all aspects of design for a number of California and international master-planned residential projects. His art direction has included detail design for important planning elements, such as community entries, neighborhood recreation centers and parks, as well as establishing the community landscape theme and identity. David is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture, and a CLARB certified Landscape Architect licensed in the State of California (#4895). He is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Urban Land Institute. Founding Partner Paul T. Wong’s 24 years of experience in the landscape architecture and planning profession includes collaboration on large-scale communities, multi-family residential, international hospitality, mixed- use/retail, model homes and custom residences. His career began in 1987 with a 13 year tenure at HRP LanDesign, where he was promoted to Senior Associate. In 2000 Paul’s professional growth continued to flourished, when he co- founded Land Arc West, and nurtured the fledgling design company to an impressive medium-size office of 35 employees. Paul and his partner sold Land Arc West in 2007toMissionLandscapeCompanies,giving them an instant presence in the landscape design-build industry. As Vice-President he devoted his energies to the transition and integration of the two companies, along with overseeing the daily operations and project client services, until his departure in 2011. Paul’s project experience has taken him across California and to international destinations like China and Egypt. He brings with him a global and regional design approach by applying an initial broad view to a project to ensure its appropriate fit into the fabric of the surrounding communities. Paul’s participation and lead of project consultant teams, is underscored by his strength in project management knowledge and experience, allowing him to confidently guide any team through the development and construction process.
