Dr Dumisani Magadlela (Dumi) is a Certified International Executive and Life
Coach. He is also a Coach Trainer and Leadership Development Facilitator.
Dumi has been involved in coaching for almost 10 years. He currently coaches
in some of the leading businesses across South Africa and in the region. He has
a Behavioural Science background and teaches both leadership
development and coaching skills. Dumi is currently part of coach-training
faculties in at least two leading coaching schools in South Africa. In his spare
time he supervises Masters and Doctoral students in various universities around
SA. He recently returned from a brief Visiting Professor stint at Hitotsubashi
University’s Institute for Innovation Research in Tokyo, Japan, where he
published a paper on African Skills and Capacity Building challenges and
opportunities. He is passionate about the development of people skills in
Africa’s workplaces, and believes that coaching is one of the leading vehicles
for transforming and ‘disrupting’ old workplace cultures safely while
